- 16 teams in four groups of 4, each team playing the others in its group once.
- First place goes straight to the quarterfinals; second and third place play a qualification to quarterfinals game; fourth place is out.
- Then single elimination rounds for the quarterfinals, semifinals, 3rd place game, and the final championship game.
Who gets in
The knockout rounds follow the group stage directly. Every game from the qualification round onward is a single game, no series.
