The WNBA is the longest-running professional women's basketball league in the United States, playing its 30th season in 2026. Fifteen teams compete after the Toronto Tempo and Portland Fire joined as expansion franchises this year.

The 2026 regular season is 44 games per team, opening May 8 and running into late September.
